Christmas Lighting Tours - From the Day after Thanksgiving until January 6 Frankenmuth is one of the most decorated and illuminated cities in the world. This year the amount of Christmas lights has more than doubled to include parks, all entrances to the city, and many new locations. Most of the private homes have elaborate lighting. The churches and the river banks glow with vibrant colors. People drive from all over the country to view the spectacular lighting. No visit to Frankenmuth is complete without a guided tour. Wilhelm has spent countless hours researching the best routes to view the lighting. Tours can be customized to include your heart's desire. Live or taped music may be added. The city is lighted nightly through January 6. Star streamers over city street remain up through early February and are re-lighted during Zehnder's Snowfest, January 29 through February 3. Bronners, the world's largest Christmas store, remains bright with Christmas lights 365 days a year. The half-mile long Christmas-tree Lane, the store, and Silent Night Memorial Chapel are lighted from dusk until midnight. |
